
* The following is a sample schedule. So far, we've been working around everyone's schedule and things have been working out well. Your success is the priority.
Schedule
The average length of a session will be between 60 - 90 minutes. Your coach will typically be available for 3 hour segments. During that segment there may be 2 - 3 sessions. Pick the one that best fits your schedule. If you feel that you are having a good day, you may participate in back-to-back sessions.
M/W/F:
1) Beginning at sunrise - 3 hours.
2) Beginning 3 hours before sunset - until sunset.
T/Th:
11:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Saturday:
3 - 5 hour sessions. Start times will generally be at sunrise. Some days may begin later depending on the type of training. On some Saturdays we may be going for a long bike ride or practice combination drills (also known as "brick drills"). On those days there may be only one long session.
Sunday:
Generally, a day for rest and recovery. Occasionally, we may get together for something different. Examples would be: going on a long run or ride, driving to Clermont to ride hills, going on a group fitness hike or taking a long beach walk. Also, most races are held on Sundays. You will be encouraged to support those who decide to race.
Students are expected to attend 3 or more sessions per week. There may be additional "homework" to meet your week's goals. Initial meeting and training times/dates will be set when the roster is full.
Training times will fluctuate based on the time of year/length of day.
Changes may be made to accommodate student needs.
Locations
There are many locations where we will meet. From Cocoa Village and Cocoa Beach to the north and Melbourne Beach and Malabar Road to the south. Most locations are somewhere in the middle. "Island Stride Sports" which is located on 5th Ave in Indialantic will be our "home base". So, if you live from central to south Brevard county, you'll have an easy drive for your day's training.
